What are the Psychic Senses?

For each physical sense, there is a psychic, or clair (meaning clear) sense:

  • Feeling --------------> Clairsentience
  • Sight ----------------> Clairvoyance
  • Hearing -------------> Clairaudience
  • Smell ----------------> Clairolfaction
  • Taste ----------------> Clairgustation
They are listed in order from most common to least common. I'll discuss each one briefly.

Clairsentience is the 'gut feel' that everyone has, but it doesn't have to be felt in your gut. Some people get their feelings in other parts of their body, and even in their auras (human energy field), like I do. Clairsentience is slow, because after you get the feeling, you still have to figure out what it's trying to tell you.

Clairvoyance can be internal or external. Internal clairvoyance is pictures you 'see', everything from metaphorical representations to remote viewing. External clairvoyance is seeing energy fields of people, animals, plants and seeing disembodied spirits, like angels or ghosts.

Clairaudience is 'hearing things"! Some people hear words or, like me, phrases, sentences and sometimes whole paragraphs. Others hear snatches of songs, with lyrics, that they haven't thought about in many years. Usually, those of us who are clairaudient are clear that the 'sound' is actually silent. One time, though, I was sure I heard someone whispering to me in a completely empty garage!

Clairolfaction is smelling things that aren't there. It is mostly a signal of a presence of someone who isn't physically there, like a 'late' grandmother's perfume, or the smell of flowers for Mary.

Clairgustation is that funny taste in your mouth of something that isn't really there.
